A subject I enjoyed studying this semester

This semester I studied four subjects, but three of these subjects were about maths and structures, and I had study these topics since I did start my career. So, this semester I enjoyed studying "Crítica de la Arquitectura; la realidad chilena y Latinoamericana", and this subject was about the southamerican architecture (classic, not current).

Also, I enjoyed studying indigenous architecture, like the Aztec, Maya, Inca, and others, and is great how those people thought their architecture, spaces, and expressed their culture with colours.

Well, I enjoyed topics of this subjects, but the classes were not fun: teacher only spoke, all classes, nothing more. So, the classes were boring, but when I was study alone, I enjoyed all topics of this subject, because they were very interesing for me.

In this picture, you can see Tenochtitlán City. This was first city built on water, and was inspiration for others projects about cities built on water such as Le Corbusier's project in Japan.

My favourite architecture website

Really I don't visit a lot architecture website, but is true that when I have to do  project, I look for references of others projects. It's like that I visit websites, like PlataformaArquitecura, where I can see a lot projects, houses, buildings, constructive details, and other things like information about architecture.

Other website that I visit is Pinterest. This is not really an architecture website, but here I can see a lot projects, and creative ideas about architecture.

I also visit profiles on Instagram that publish pictures about architecture.

I watch Instagram everyday, so this is here where I see the most projects, and I see that because I like to do it. I visit PlataformaArquitectura and Pinterest only when I have important works, and I need creative ideas about architecture, or I need additional information.

How can my career make the world a better place

I'm study architecture, and since I was a child I wanted to be a proffesional in this. So, now I think that I can help to world in a lot things with the architecture, because with the architecture I can do a lot things, and if I'm proffesional in this, is in my hands help to the world to be a better place, with thing like for example: I could make houses for people who don't have them, or I could design places like green zones, parks, sustainable cities.

Personally I would like make and design houses with a necessary space, because with the pandemic we can see that ours houses don't have necessary space to study, work, or relax because not all houses have yard or living room. So, I could make better places , better houses with the architecture.

My favorite photograph

 

I taked this picture, and I think that I liked the moment more than the picture. It was in november of last year, when I went to cemetery, to visit my grandmather (mom of my father), and in that moments I prefer go alone, because are private moments. So, I see this dog follow me, and I thinked "mmm okay, he haven't owner". 

When I had arrived where my grandmother, he sit down with me, and he want play with me. So I played with he, later I taked this pictures because he was already tired, but I see he was happy. Later, I gave him water of my bottle, and I see he happier than before, and he wanted play again. Later, he's gone :( but I was happy for him :)

When I gone of cemetery, I see he following an family, and plays with them. So I thinked this dog always follow people, and always was here, but the next time of I went to cemetery I didn't see him :(

My favorite food

Hi, today I will talk to you about my favorite food, it´s potato cake cooked by my mom. This food is like shepherd's pie, but make by my mom and me, and we cooks it differently. This meal has mashed potatoes, ground beef, chicken, caramel onion, sugar and eggs. So when we cook this, we make an mashed potatoes, we cook onion with honey or sugar, we cook the chicken with butter, and we cook hard boiled eggs. Really I like this meal because I cook with my mom, so its very fun. Also, I like to combine sweet and salty in foods when I cook.

I love this meal, however, when I eat this meal in others houses, I don't like it that much. So I think that it's my favorite meal only when I cook with my mom.

Also, the best thing about this meal is that it's not junk food, so it's not harmful to my health, but we cook this meal only in summer. I hope you cook this dish, and then tell me about it. See you :)

My favorite piece of technology

Hello everyone, today I will talk about my favorite piece of technology. Really is very easy chose an piece of technology for me, because I don't use many pieces, so my favorite piece of technology is my phone. With it I listen to music, I do university works, I read, I talk to my friends, I take many pictures, and usually I play video games.

I bought it when I was 18 years old, so I have had this phone for almost 3 years, and currently I like. My phone is very important to me, in fact I carry it everywhere. For example, when I going in bus, I listen music, or when I wait an friend, I see social networks. My phone is my camera, my book, my music player, and my messenger, so it's very important in my life.

I recommend it, because you can do many things with it, such as having a lot of information, a lot of photos, books, video games, chats, music, and you can always carry it with you. 

In next picture you see my first phone. With it I just listened to music, I played video games and I called my mom after school, but it was very entertaining and I liked it. Thanks for read :)

Welcome again. Here is the why I study architecture :)

Currently I am in third year of architecture, and I study at Uviversity of Chile. The true is I've always dreamed study this career. When I was a child (6 or 7 years old), I had a friend, with him played making structures with jenga pieces, and after I drew the houses, churches, buildings and towers that we maked. When I was 16 years old, in school I had to choose a specialization, and I thinked the better for this carrer was choose math or art, so I choosed math because I love study maths. 

After, when I had the PSU (test to enter university), I choosed architecture in six of eight options, in different universities. The other two options was commercial engineering, but just to complete options, because really I wanted this career.

Currently I'm happy with this career, but I don't like the online classes. My first year at university was a great experience! My teachers were fun and the assignments were very dynamic, I walked by a lot of streets in downtown drawing buildins, and now I just watch classes in computer.

I hope in my job I can make the houses and buildings that I made with my friend when I was a child. Also I hope can work with my friends from university in new projects.
